Domestic Abuse Support Service for Children
The Recess Project
The Recess Project was founded in 2026, by Ivina Joseph and Sardia Joseph. The CIC was setup to support children who are living with parental domestic abuse. Through our Recess Program we provide group support sessions facilitated by experience professionals who have worked within the domestic abuse and social care fields supporting families to reduce risk of harm and empowering them to make safer decision to improve their lives and over come barriers. The organisation also offers volunteering opportunities to the local communities where the Recess Program is delivered. We also endeavour to engage with local communities to raise awareness of domestic abuse and the impact on survivors. The Recess Project aims to educate the local community on healthy relationships and general safety.
